Gibraltar Development Limited, known for some of the most outstanding residential developments in this region was named Builder of the Year (Multi- Family) by the Canadian Home Builder’s Association (Eastern Newfoundland) for five years since 2002. They were also named Renovator of the Year (over $25,000) in 2008 for the renovation and restoration of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Pleasantville to a luxurious 24 unit condominium complex, FIVE-NINE on ROOSEVELT.

Five consecutive years
East, west and central, Gibraltar’s homes have brought a level of quality and distinction to the inventory of homes in the capital region. The company’s first Builder of the Year (multi-family) award (2002) was for Brittany on Bond, an eight-unit executive brownstone project on Bond Street, overlooking St. John’s harbor. The second was for West Highlands (2003), a 10-unit townhome development located at the corner of Empire Avenue and Newtown Road. The third (2004) was for Hillview Trails, a 16- unit semi-detached project off Southside Road. The forth (2005) award was for East Village at Quidi Vidi. All homes offered beautifully functional living spaces and open concepts associated with Gibraltar’s custom and award winning designs. Along with spectacular coastal scenery, the community offered easy access to the Grand Concourse Trail, parks, shopping areas, Quidi Vidi Lake and was only minutes from the Outer Ring Road/Trans Canada Highway and downtown St. John’s.
Gibraltar’s current award was in 2008 and was awarded two awards from the CHBA – EN. Builder of the Year – Multi-Unit (for the fifth time since 2002) and Renovator of the Year (over $25,000) for the FIVE-NINE on ROOSEVELT Condominium project.
All awards were from the Canadian Home Builders Association - Eastern Newfoundland.

Gibraltar’s Current Projects
Gibraltar is currently working on two separate projects in the City’s East End. They are now developing Phase III of East Point Landing, a 200 plus residential subdivision, consisting of single family homes as well as East Point Condominiums, a new 24 unit residential condominium complex in the same area.
Gibraltar Development is the primary builder of East Point Landing, a community within St. John’s and accessed off Logy Bay Road opposite NTV - OZ FM.
A family-oriented subdivision, Gibraltar has no less than 350 house plans from which prospective buyers can choose. “Or,” says Vice President Craig Foley, “buyers can bring in their ideas and work with our staff on formalizing those ideas as building plans.”
Sales in Phase III of East Point Landing are proceeding briskly, with few lots remaining before the subdivision in completely sold out. This phase backs on prestigious King William Estates and is seconds from the Outer Ring Road.
